The University of Michigan Department of Aerospace Engineering is dedicated to connecting with the K-12 community. Throughout the year we engage with young students and educators through various outreach events within our state of the art facility, the François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Building and off-site at local elementary, middle and high schools. Their 'Cool Things in U-M Aero' Seminars provide 8 visits to school classrooms over a given fall or winter term which enhance student's learning experiences regarding flight and space engineering. They also offer a field trip to visit their weekly undergraduate seminar class to individual or classes of high school students.
